Exhibition: Pavel Niebauer - ART ALTER EGO (Traces of Age - Unveiling)

The work of Rokycany native Pavel Niebauer from 2023–25 stands out for its surreal expression and includes surprising spatial objects and installations made of wood, stone and metal.

The exhibition presents his drawings, paintings and collages in the form of fantastic visions that stimulate the viewer's imagination. Coloured large-format photographs are also included. An important part of the exhibition consists of material installations on relief-worked slate bases.

Real components and segments are placed into paradoxical contexts that may be perceived as seemingly illogical. The artist explores in this way the interaction between the practical experience of an adult and the artistic intent to alter this experience in an unusual manner. It is thus an attempt to free oneself from a pragmatic and stereotypical perception of reality and to approach the light, fresh childlike vision of the world.

This exhibition may thus become a general source of inspiration for a broader audience. For active enthusiasts of fine art, it offers a demonstration of a distinctive and deliberate crossing of the formal and traditional forms of artistic work with various materials and techniques.
