Around 180 artists participate in the exhibition, selected by a rotating expert jury. To this day, DIE GROSSE is a reliable reflection of developments in art and is considered a meeting point for the professional art scene. This year, the Kunstpreis der Künstler will again be awarded, going to Bart Koning (resident of Krefeld by choice). The prize for artists up to 35 years of age goes to Max van Dorsten (resident of Cologne by choice).
It is an important platform for the mediation and sale of contemporary art in the region. Every summer, artworks of all disciplines are presented in four halls and outdoors.
