Karel Pecl — Beauty is Hidden in Detail

Everyone in Písek has surely seen many photographs by Dr. Karel Pecl, whether at one of the countless exhibitions, not only in our museum but also at his lectures or in various Písek publications. This time, however, he has selected photographs that no one has ever seen anywhere. They are by Pecl, bearing his signature style, but they are different. And they are conceived artistically, so you can only guess which animal or plant is depicted, whether the given photograph comes from Písek, the Czech Republic, or Europe, Africa, Asia, America… You won't find out any of that this time. Come and simply enjoy the sight of such beauty. It's worth it.

We certainly don't need to introduce the long-time zoologist of Prácheňské muzeum, Dr. Karel Pecl, to regular visitors of our museum. For decades, he has been and still is an integral part of our museum. Among other things, everyone knows that he has traveled to many countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, and America with the association of museum zoologists, Zoogeos. Our hall regularly burst at the seams during his lectures about these journeys. Currently, not a week goes by without some interesting and witty article by him in Písek periodicals.
