Pszczyna Castle Museum
The Castle Museum in Pszczyna occupies a palace built on a medieval and Renaissance stronghold, remodeled in French Baroque style between 1870 and 1876 for Prince Hans Heinrich XI von Pless by architect Hippolyte Destailleur. Opened as a museum in 1946, it preserves around 80 percent of its early-20th-century furnishings, making it one of Poland's best-preserved aristocratic residences. Its permanent exhibitions display historic interiors, an armory, a portrait gallery and a collection of miniatures.
