Kitzbühel in the Bronze Age

For the first time, the history of the Kitzbühel area brightens around 1300 BC. It is the epoch of the late Bronze Age, named after bronze, the most important metal at the time. Due to its copper deposits, the most important raw material for bronze production, the region attracted the interest of larger settlements located in the foothills of the Alps. The Kitzbühel area was then one of the most important production centers for copper in the Eastern Alps.
